Hamilton Angling & Hunting Association

Hamilton Angling and Hunting Association is a private members club, new members are only accepted by being sponsored by an existing club member in GOOD standing.  There is no exception to this.

If you are an existing club member and wish to sponsor a new member, please see, and follow these requirements and directions.

  • 1.       A sponsor must have been a member in good standing for at least 12 months at the time of application.
  • 2.       You may ONLY sponsor one new member per year.  Exceptions may be made under special circumstances by the membership committee.
  • 3.        Do not sponsor a new member without first confirming that you both will be able to attend one of these two dates*********, SPONSORS are required to provide successful candidates with a personal orientation of the Clubhouse and ranges, and such orientation will include, ALL range operation, rules, and maintenance requirements!!!!!
  • 4.        For a period of 12 months, it is expected the sponsor will continue to monitor and mentor their candidate in all aspects of accepted club practices and conduct!
  • 5.       All new candidates must provide and maintain an email address!!!!!  This is essential as email is the primary method H.A.H.A. uses to communicate with members.
  • 6.       Should a new member become problematic within their first year, the sponsor will lose their privilege to sponsor new members in the future.
  • 7.       Sponsors are responsible for the new members actions during the first year.
  • 8.       Blank applications become available starting   late 2024 via email from  vicepresident@hahaclub.ca
  • 9.       Applications for new members will only be accepted from approx December 16th to December 30 2024
  • 10.   Once all the applications have been received, a potential candidate list will be created.  It will be reviewed by the membership committee and the following process will take place:

a.       Step 1: The committee will decide using a consensus-based approach and accept any new member based on “obvious merit” of either the candidate or the sponsor.  Examples of obvious merit would be sponsors who regularly volunteer and provide service to the club or candidates that have skills or associations which would benefit the club.  The membership committee may also reject any candidate they feel would not make a good club member for the opposite examples given above.

b.       Step 2: The remaining candidates will be chosen using a random draw system to fill the remaining vacancies.

Hamilton Angling and Hunting Association is a not-for-profit organization.
